~A visit to Bali~

A most-do plan for last year was a trip to Bali.My friends and i had already booked for the ticket since early January last year. We planned for it for years and finally we made it. It was really a wonderful moment for all of us. The journey started on Dec,2nd where we took our AirAsia flight, the most cheapest carrier in town to the place called Bali. We crossed-fingers for this since this is our first trip ever.
We stayed in a spacious and amazing hotel for 3 days and 2 nights in Bali. The hotel workers were very friendly and hospitable. They had a good service too. Bali has many beautiful beacher and we visited one. Along the beach, there were many people doing their own activities. We saw children having so much fun building sandcastles with their families. Everyone were really enjoy with their own activities.
Other than visiting the famous and interesting places, we also visited the shopping mall. The shopping mall are really big and you can find a lot of decorative shops selling many kind of stuff. The foods in Bali were really nice. The most unforgettable restaurant was Raden Mas Joko Restaurant. This restaurant provided many delicious recipes like Bakso, Nasi Lemak, Curry and many others. We enjoyed the food very much.
The times we had there were really wonderful. It is true that, with AirAsia, 'Now Everyone Can Fly' to wherever they want to go and our wish to be in Bali had really come true. Thanks to AirAsia!!

Aha...guess what? i was in Bali?? oh no no..it is not. actually the above short story was written by my friends and i during our discussion in the Proficiency Course at IPGM Keningau this morning...

Well, i had been attended to this course since last January..and it included 4 phases. Today till friday will be our 3rd phases. As usual, i went to the course this morning using my viva. For this time, the course will be specifically for teaching writing in the classroom. Writing skill is one of the major skill in learning the Second Language..English.

We were asked to write a short story about anythings we like. In groups of five, we sat and discussed what kind of story we should write...none of us came up with ideas..then at last we decided to use the point we have in our activity 1 for creating the story. we decided to write something about a vacation..and we chose to write a visit to Bali even though none of us ever been there..haha...

Few minutes writing some sentences, then we just combined the writing from each of us into one paragraph. .. it was really funny that at last we managed to have a whole story about a visit to Bali. it was surprised that we were able to come up with this kind of story. we really had no ideas how Bali looks like and what is the famous restaurant over there..but yet, the ideas we had were all really interesting. i never knew if there is any grammatical error in this story since our lecture didnt check our writing during the class.

How i wish to be there in Bali and experience the fascinating beaches...hehe...

I'd have wrote the story like this...

A must-do plan in 2009 was a holiday trip to Bali. My friends and I had already booked flight tickets since early January 2009. We had planned for this trip for years and finally we made it. It was really a wonderful moment for all of us. We flew to Bali on Dec, 2nd via AirAsia, the cheapest airline in the region. It was our first trip ever thus, it made us nervous and a little worried – fingers crossed
We stayed in a spacious and amazing hotel for 3 days and 2 nights in Bali. Hotel staffs were very friendly and hospitable, well customer service was awesome. Although Bali has many beautiful beaches, we could only manage to visit one of them named ?????. Along the beach, there were many people doing their own activities…children having so much fun building sandcastles with their families. Everyone was really enjoyed with their own activities.

Apart from visiting well known and interesting places, we couldn’t resist to not to visit the shopping complexes. Their shopping complexes are really huge and you can find a lot of decorative shops selling many kind of stuff. The foods in Bali are really nice. The most unforgettable restaurant we’ve visited was the Raden Mas Joko Restaurant. The restaurant provides many local (and international)l delicacies such as Bakso, Nasi Lemak, Curry and many others. We enjoyed the food very much.

Well, I’ve been attending to this course since last January which has 4 phases’ courses. Today until Friday will be its 3rd phase’s course. As usual, I went to the course this morning using my beloved Perodua Viva. This 3rd phase course, it has been designed specifically for teaching effective writing in classroom; Writing skill is one of the major skill in learning the Second Language - English.

We were asked to write a short story about anything. In a group of five, we sat and discussed what kind of story we should write...none of us came up with an idea...then at last we decided to use the point we had in our Activity 1 session for creating a story…we decided to write about vacation trip and we chose to write a vacation trip to Bali even though none of us ever been there..haha...

Few minutes of writing…we then merged necessary points of vacation trip to Bali from each of us into a single and simple paragraph. .. It was really funny that at last we managed to have a short story about a trip to Bali… it was a relief and a surprise moment at the same time as we were able to come up with this story… we really have no idea how Bali looks like and what restaurant were there but yet, the idea we had was really fascinating…I do not know if there were any grammatical error in the story writing as the lecturer didn’t even care to check during the class.
